Kensington Place – Luxury Hotel Cape Town {Review}

Waking up with freshly brewed cappuccino, overlooking the beautiful Cape Town, and Table Mountain from your balcony is definitely one of the highlights of our stay at Kensington Place in Cape Town.

Although a 5 star hotel, the feeling you get when you walk into the reception is that of “coming home”, the ambience is warm and welcoming and the friendly staff  welcomes you with the warmest of smiles and a glass of bubbly.

Traveling the world you get accustomed to certain services and/or facilities, and it is easy to spot the establishments that really go the extra mile for their guests.

For me personally rating a hotel is all about location, facilities, attitude of the staff and definitely the “vibe” you get when you stay at a place.

Kensington Place checked all the boxes for me, not only because of their incredible luxurious beds, everything you possibly might need in your room and the friendly staff, but also the fact that you can order your breakfast to your room, and when I say breakfast…I mean…the yummiest breakfast selection EVER!

One thing that I did notice was, (without me trying to be) I became a little bit of an annoying guest at breakfast time, phoning down to reception a few times to request certain items from the menu. At no time there was ever a slightly annoyed tone on the other side of the phone, or an issue with any of our requests (even though I thought….goodness me these people are going to think we are lunatics) for ordering like we did.

Every item was delivered to our door faster than expected, beautifully presented with a big smile from the lovely ladies that work at the hotel.

In terms of location, this hotel is for someone that likes the personal feel and touches of a boutique hotel (it has 9 rooms), be centrally located and have a beautiful view from the balconies.

kplace019Kensington gets a definite YES from me and they come HIGHLY recommended for your next Cape Town stay!
