When we turn 30+ sometimes doing a club scene or a place where loud music is involved is not always what we had in mind…(which never seemed to be an issue in our 20’s). So as we move into this new phase of our lives, with our friends…we sometimes run out of fun ideas to celebrate a special occasion. Here is what we came up with:

Dinner at Col Cacchio Pizzeria
One of my favourite restaurants, delicious traditional itailian styled food. Crispy based pizzas, fresh and flavourful pasta’s and salads. And such a rich ambiance, you feel as though you are in a different country.

Picnic at Kistenbosch
Kirstenbosch is a famous botanical garden situated at the foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town. The garden is one of nine National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa’s six different biomes
Opening Times:
The garden is open daily from 08h00 to 18h00 from April to August; and from 08h00 to 19h00 from September to March.
Botanical Cafe hours are daily from 08h00-17h30, but may close earlier in winter and the Moyo Restaurant is open from 08h30-22h00, 7 days a week.

HintHunt
A fun escape game, Cluedo mixed with CSI. Participants are led into groups of 3 to 6 into a small ‘investigators office’ where the hunt begins. They then have 60 minutes to decipher codes and clues and solve the mystery to gain their freedom
A session costs R150p/p for groups of three, R140p/p for groups of four, R135p/p for groups of five and R130p/p for groups of six. Booking and paying in advance is essential and can be done via the Tixsa online system linked to HintHunt’s website.

Horse riding on Noordhoek Beach
Go for a 2 hour horse ride along the gorgeous Noordhoek beach, combined with a short bush ride. You may even see dolphins or the occasional sighting of whales. Sessions at 9am , 12pm and 16pm
