When Sue and I decided to start our travel journey in India, there was nothing that could have prepared me for the experience I can only describe as life changing.
I firmly believe that you can hear stories, watch video’s or television shows about India, but nothing will truly prepare you for this experience.

We took a day trip to reach our end destination for the day – the Lamayuru Monastery in Leh.
This was a point of interest not only because it is the oldest monastery in India, but also because the journey to reach the monastery will pass amazing landscapes and amazing sights.

We felt adventurous and we wanted to visit Leh, as part of our India travels.
Leh is a beautiful region situated at an altitude between 11 500ft – 14800ft {I am going to let that fact sink in for a second} ( For Comparison – Table mountain is at an altitude of only 3500ft)
