For the ESCADA Spring/Summer 14 Campaign, photographers Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer showcased top model Julia Stegner.
The motifs were inspired by the city of Marrakesh. The ESCADA campaign for Spring/Summer 2014 presents Julia on a rooftop terrace and strolling through narrow alleyways that shimmer with light; a modern diva, she is cool and radiates a subtle aura of sex appeal. In the spotlight: the evocative ESCADA summer looks with their bold sized prints and luminous colors.
The SS14 Collection evokes a youthful spirit with sexy and feminine pieces. The focus is on shoulders as the new erogenous zone with one-shouldered caftan dresses, strapless evening gowns, and embellished cocktail sheaths with rippling cascades on the side.
Creating a sense of escapism is a continual goal for creative director Daniel Wingate and co., which is achieved in the SS14 Collection with bold prints including blown-up florals, wild zebra stripes, giraffe spots, and playful pineapple motifs that add a graphic pop to flattering cap-sleeve dresses, easy tunics, and double-knit, fit-and-flare frocks.
A tailored suit featuring an abstract wave pattern is a key piece of this collection, as is a floaty finale maxi dress with rope straps, which would work as both a poolside cover-up and a party-ready look for a night on the town. Other highlights include specialty leather pieces like a cropped-sleeve car coat, and an A-line shift featuring perforated details achieved by strategically blasting high-pressure water, in addition to the iconic ESCADA laser-cut pieces.
