New sponsor confirmed for SA’s most spectacular restaurant awards yet
Cape Town – Eat Out has announced a new title sponsor and a brand new venue for South Africa’s most prestigious restaurant awards, promising a super-charged event for food lovers this November.
Says Aileen Lamb, General Manager of Eat Out: “We are thrilled to announce that Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) has decided to join us this year as the title sponsor for the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Restaurant Awards. We value our new partnership with this world-class brand and look forward to hosting the most impressive awards event yet.”
The restaurant awards, which acknowledge South Africa’s top chefs and restaurants, will be held on Sunday 16 November 2014 at Thunder City at the Cape Town International Airport. The larger venue has been chosen to meet the consistently growing demand for tickets and to allow for even more innovation in terms of staging the event. The 2013 awards accommodated 500 guests, but this year’s new venue will allow for even more industry players, celebrities and members of the public to attend. The stylish affair, comparable to the Oscars of the food industry, is renowned for its multiple-course dinner showcase, prepared by award-winning chefs and paired with the country’s best wines.
Says Claudia Walters, Marketing Communications Manager for Mercedes-Benz Cars South Africa: “We are very excited to be involved with South Africa’s top restaurant awards in this powerful partnership with Eat Out. Mercedes-Benz is both an aspirational and inspirational brand. The concept of recognizing the industry’s best talent aligns perfectly with the Mercedes-Benz’s brand value of constantly striving and reaching the pinnacle of excellence.”
